 SCUTTLEBUGGS

Scuttlebuggs is a scrappy Midwestern indie folk-rock band described as "raw" "edgy" "honest" and "weird but cool". Their original vocal melodies, harmonies and lyrics are the focal point of their sound and people have likened their music to Neil Young, Wilco and Cat Power. Their debut album After Brilliance was filled with genuine emotion - tracked live on analog tape at legendary Chicago studio Pieholden Suite Sound in 2013, it received glowing reviews: "their harmonies are delicate and graceful, and bring an indie edge to the Americana arrangements"... reviews additionally described songs as "beautiful""haunting" and "positively life-affirming." [Leicester Bangs]

Scuttlebuggs then had a successful month long tour of Japan in 2019 and toured on and off around the states until the pandemic reared its head. In 2020, they released a new single and music video "Hey There, Skipper!" which was picked up for a worldwide broadcast debut by Ditty TV. When they canceled their cross country tour due to COVID, SBuggs dove back into recording and released an EP of self produced tunes titled HomeGrown. They are currently finishing work on a full length album to be released in 2022.
